These steaks are nice and lean, and packed full of flavour. Whether you decide to braise them or marinate and grill- they will not disappoint. Flank steak is a slightly tough cut of meat due to its leanness. However, if you use a simple marinade combining acidic citrus juice and salty soy sauce it will tenderize these steaks perfectly! Olive or avocado oil also helps to keep the meat juicy and supple. Adding a bit of brown sugar will also bring out the beefs natural sweetness and helps to create a slightly caramelized crust once the steak hits your grill!
